Day 3: Something Green. Epiphytes. An epiphyte is a plant that grows upon a plant and has a symbiotic relationship with its host organism. It is non-parasitic and manufactures its own food like most plants, deriving its water and minerals from the air and rain. I found these growing on the trees that lines the path where the kids and I usually bike and i’ve always liked how they make the trees teem with life. While I was taking their photograph, I found myself wondering how we made it through 14 years together, successfully building and providing for our four kids while maintaining a healthy relationship as husband and wife and best friends…I think it’s because we work together as partners, much like the tree and the epiphytes. We pull our weight and do our work the best we can to reach a common goal - to help each other grow to our fullest potential.

Day 3: Clouds. One thing I like most about Singapore weather, especially if the sky is this beautiful coupled with a strong but pleasant breeze, is that it’s like beach weather all year round. I can just imagine, while lying on my bed, staring out the window at the clear blue sky, that I live just right beside the beach and anytime I want, I can just go out and play in the sand and watch the blue sea kiss the shore.

Day 2: What I Wore. What I Wore Today. It’s day 2 of the Photo challenge and the assignment was to photograph what I wore today. I’m no fashionista but whatever I am wearing, on any day, I always have these two on me: Estee Lauder Pure White Linen Eau de Toilette and my trusty watch. They make me feel less, well… losyang. ^_^

Day 1: Self Portrait.

My life right now is a love and hate relationship with the things going on around me. I hate doing the laundry but I love my washer and dryer. They are so nice, they even sing a nice tune when they’re done with a cycle. I love Photography so much, I’d rather take pictures than do chores which is what makes me a regular fixture in the kitchen, (No, it’s not just the food!). I am also that bulky item, a fluffy wool. I want to be sporty again if only I can get ‘a round tuit’. Like cotton, I’m practical and tough but I am sensitive and easily hurt most times. I can be all these things just press the ‘On’ button to engage and ‘Play’ to trigger…press ‘Pause’ to take a breather, or ‘Stop’ to sod off.

I’m going to do this!!

I still remember the first time my Dad let me hold his beautiful Nikon F2, I was 10 years old and I have been bitten and smitten by the shutter bug ever since… that was, until my passion was drowned by lack of time, responsibilities and obligations. Rusty as this bench my photography skills might be for now, in time, with relentless practice, it will get better again.
